Coil cleaners: condenser vs evaporator
- Condenser (outdoor) coils — heavy dirt and grease call for a stronger alkaline cleaner you rinse off, like Nu-Calgon Nu-Brite.
- Evaporator (indoor) coils — use a no-rinse foaming cleaner where rinsing isn't practical. See Nu-Calgon Evap Foam (no-rinse).
Foaming vs no-rinse vs self-rinsing
Foaming cleaners cling to vertical coils and lift debris out as the foam collapses. No-rinse formulas are made for indoor coils that drain to the condensate pan. Self-rinsing condenser cleaners wash away on the next cycle. Match the formula to whether you can rinse.
Leak detection

Drain & pan treatments
